Welcome to the Lime Trees Farm website.
Located in the tranquil rural hamlet of Blackthorn on the Oxfordshire/Buckinghamshire borders, Lime Trees Farm was built in 1760 at the start of the reign of George III. It is now a warm and comfortable family home, providing a high standard of hospitality for our guests. Situated in an acre of landscaped gardens, Lime Trees Farm is surrounded by eleven acres of pasture land. As you listen to the birdsong in the trees, it is hard to imagine that you are just twelve miles from the centre of Oxford, less than eight from the M 40 motorway and just over three from the thriving market town of Bicester with its renowned retail shopping village. Heathrow and Birmingham Airports are both under a one hour drive away, and Chiltern Rail will get you into the centre of London or Birmingham in less than an hour.
On spring and summer afternoons many of our guests returning from a sightseeing trip, or a day of business commitments, enjoy a cup of tea next to the ornamental pond, relaxed by the sound of trickling water, or enjoy a stroll around our landscaped gardens. A back drop of pasture with horses quietly grazing make this the perfect pastoral idyll.
